Colleagues,
Good morning. Attached is an updated version of CUNY’s Uniform Grade Symbols and Guidelines, effective Fall 2024. This document was revised following extensive consultation with stakeholders across the university, including, but not limited to, the Council on Academic Policy, the University Faculty Senate, Office of Student Affairs, campus enrollment management and financial aid officers, and representatives from academic advisement. Among the most significant changes to note:
- The last day to withdraw has been adjusted from the last day of the course to the date reflecting 60% of course completion;
- Clarification has been provided on the assignment of the WU grade; and
- More flexibility has been provided to campuses in determining the last day for students to choose the Pass/No Credit option.
This information is being shared with students, and the campus academic calendar has been updated to reflect these changes.
