All the computers in your area are scheduled to be rebooted during the night starting at 10 PM, Thursday, October 10th. To avoid lost data in documents you are currently maybe working on,
- Please save all your documents and close all applications before leaving for the day on Thursday, October 10th.
- If you are working remotely, close all applications on your office computer.
- And do not Shut Down your Computer
Why are we rebooting the computers in your area?
- These regular computer reboots strengthen York College Cyber Security Posture as your office Computer will install the latest Windows updates and update its antivirus protection.
- Also, your computer's performance will improve as many backgrounds and startup applications such as Email, MS Team, and Zoom will restart.
While this is a routine scheduled IT maintenance, you do not have to wait for our maintenance window - starting at 10 PM, October 10th. You can reboot your computer regularly yourself.
