The College Community,

The campus is in the midst of unpresedented contruction on campus not seen since the campus was built.

Below is a list of an estimated 100 Million dollars in capital projects recently completed, currently in progress or in the design phase.

HPE - ADA Restroom and Lockers Upgrade

$2.5 Million

Project at 40% completion
Anticipated completion April 30, 2025
Discussion about Phase II ACB ADA Upgrade start under way, and anticipated on March 15, 2025
SoW includes new women’s and men’s showers, lockers, and ADA toilet.
New ceiling tiles at lower-level corridor
New egress corridors from changing facilities
New LED lighting fixtures

ACB Roof Replacement and Upgrade

$17 Million

Project at 97% completion
Anticipated substantial completion October 31, 2024
Project close-out and punch list not to exceed November 22, 2024, for completion
SoW replacement of roofing material and accessories throughout all ACB
Lower roof outside H wing last remaining work

Performing Arts Center (PAC)

$40 Million

Mechanical upgrade at 85% completion/ Interior at 40% completion - Not part of the original scope
Anticipated completion for Mechanical portion of work May 2025
Mechanical upgrade at 85% completion/ Interior at 40% completion - Not part of the original scope
SoW includes complete mechanical equipment upgrade, interior upgrade, elevator upgrade, ADA lift and toilet room upgrades.
Upgrade of stage lighting and controls to IP (Internet Protocol) standard
Moisture proof for water infiltration from driving rains at exterior

Cafeteria Upgrade

$ 1 Million

Project at 35% completion
Vendor RFP process - Boiler plate and contract at CUNY legal for review
Interior Contractor selection in progress - includes cosmetic upgrades to walls, floors, and ceiling
Furniture & Floor Purchase order issued & Appliances vendor walk-thru on October 15th
Anticipated date for substantial completion of the project is January 2025
Project close out and punch list no later than January 24, 2025, for completion
Appliance replacement to comply with today’s energy code

159th Street DRI- Pedestrian Walkway Upgrade - The Overpass

$2 Million

Athletic Field- Project Completed August 2024

$7.8 Million

Classroom Building, Mechanical Equipment, Roof and Exterior Upgrades, Roof Penetration - Design Phase - Summer 25 - 10 Million
Science Building, Mechanical, Equipment, Roof and Exterior Upgrades, Roof Penetration - Design Phase - Summer 25 - 10 Million
Tennis Courts & Field House - Ridge Structure Covering, Resurfacing, Upgrade of Restrooms, ADA compliant - Design Phase - 7 Million
NYPA - New York Power Authority - HPE LED Light Upgrade in common areas - Project to start January 25 - Funded by NYPA
