OCTOBER IS “CHECK YOUR PENSION” MONTH
During the month of October you should take the time to contact your pension plan to verify that they have the accurate number of years of employment and retirement savings associated with your years of employment. Please refer to emails I have sent out to the community for the retirement vendor contact information.
OPEN ENROLLMENT
The CUNY Benefits Open Enrollment period is November 1, 2024 – November 30, 2024. You can make changes to your benefits elections, or add/remove dependents for health, dental and flexible spending accounts. You can also enroll in or make changes if enrolled to the Catastrophic Sick Leave Bank Program. You can learn more about the CUNY Benefits Open Enrollment period here. Please note – the last week of November is also the Thanksgiving holiday. We encourage that you make your elections, submit your change forms, contact our office with any question on or before Friday, November 22.
HR KNOWLEDGE BASE
Our office is building a knowledge base and part of this initiative is collecting questions from you! Do you have a non-urgent HR question? Do you find yourself needing specific information at the same time each year? Our knowledge base will help the community find answers to common HR questions for cyclical processes, locating forms or for HR guidelines. If you have a question – we want to hear from you. Please reach out to Shane Ayers or submit your question at the bottom of the main HR webpage here.
