As part of the University-wide Network Modernization Project (NMP), York IT will be upgrading the switching infrastructure to enhance network performance and reliability. In this phase of NMP, we will upgrade the data center core and access switches, which requires scheduled maintenance on the following dates:
Scheduled Cutovers:
- Friday, April 25th, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday, April 27th 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
What to Expect
- Friday April 25th Cutover: All on-campus network services (e.g., VPN, Remote Desktop to office PCs, Website, YConnect) will experience intermittent disruptions.
- Sunday April 27th Cutover: All on-campus network services (e.g., VPN, Remote Desktop to office PCs, Website, YConnect) will experience intermittent disruptions.
Uninterrupted Services
- Phone services will remain operational.
- Off-campus access to centrally hosted systems (CUNYfirst, Brightspace, Blackboard) will not be affected.
