Memorial Service for Debra Swoboda, Professor Emerita Passed Away on January 9 Dear York College Family and Friends, A memorial service will be held for Professor Emerita Debra Swoboda on Saturday, April 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home, 118 Union Ave, Lynbrook, NY. From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. attendees will meet and reminisce; testimonials will start at 12:30 pm. As many of you know, Debra donated her body to Stony Brook Medical School. However, her (eventual) cremation urn will be available, and you are encouraged to place a brief note, description of a memory, or a memento in the urn. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to World Central Kitchen (wck.org) or the North Shore Animal League (animalleague.org). Following the memorial, there will be a reception starting at 2 p.m. at 747 Iris Pl, West Hempstead, NY.11552. All are welcome.
