As you know, we are using Brightspace exclusively for all courses now. Be ready and get started: 

·                     Make your course available to students or, to use Brightspace's terminology, make the course active.

·                     Ensure items in your course are set to visible (not Hidden) as needed.  

·                     Send a welcome message to students using the Brightspace Announcements tool

·                     Post an announcement asking students to set their York email as their preferred email in their CUNYfirst (CF) account. Attached is a tutorial on how to change preferred email in CUNYfirst. 

 

 

For technical support with Brightspace:  

  • Self-enroll in our Faculty Be Ready and Certified for Brightspace course and learn by doing at your own pace, or 
  • Browse our Brightspace for Faculty site to find tutorials. 
  • Access our Live LMS Support Room from the CTLET link on My Courses > Organizations tab in your Brightspace home page. The hours are: Mondays - Thursdays 9 AM - 5 PM, Fridays by appointment via email lmshelp@PROTECTED
