Anaella Campana has years of student counseling, student administration and student program experience including previous roles at Academy for Careers in Television & Film, Hillside Arts and Letters Academy and NYC Dept. of Education. She will use this expertise in supporting the student experience at the Queens EOC.

 

Sandra Velez has returned to York College as Director of Operations and Events. In this role she will develop and direct strategic operational goals and implementation plans. Curate, facilitate and oversee Event planning for various college-wide activities and the operational process. Develop and implement a weekly calendar of college events – internal and external, including all revenue generating venues and Athletic Field. Welcome back Sandra!

 

Yacquelin Nava Shahin has held various student facing roles at LaGuardia Community College including supporting Adult and Continuing Education, CUNY Service Corps Internships, ACE, and Career Readiness. She will transition these skills in support of the York ACE department. Sonicha Exantus will also transition her skills in student advisement from York Queens EOC to ACE.

 

Cheryma Flowers has provided accounting, internal auditing and analyst support in roles at Moody’s, Darby Group, Shubert Entertainment and Elmhurst Dairy. We welcome this York alum as she transitions her skills to the Bursar department.

 

Tyann Purvis is a transfer from City College of NY. She will continue to support the goals of a safe campus for the college community.

 

Sherisse Brown has held Instructional Technology and Learning Specialist roles at Weill Cornell College and Marymount Manhattan College. These will prove useful in support of faculty and the Center for Teaching & Learning.

 

Johana Rivera has worked in CUNY for over 30 years across the spectrum of institutions, including community and senior colleges in a variety of roles: Registrar, Executive Director of Enrollment, Associate Dean for Student Development and Enrollment Management, and Vice President for Enrollment Management most recently at Kingsborough Community College. Her experience will serve York College well as she transitions to her new role.

 

Samantha Tramontano has had fellowship positions at Vanderbilt University and Queens College and has served as an adjunct Lecturer at College of Staten Island. She will support student learning outcomes in Earth Sciences/Geology at York.

 

Emilia Vignola has held research positions at John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Univ. of Washington, Queens College and the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health. She has had teaching positions at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and School of the NY Times. She will support student learning outcomes in the Health & Human Performance department.

 

Venee Cunningham has held roles at Interfaith Medical Center, NYU Langone Medical Center, Maimonides Medical Center and is the founder of Millennial Healthcare. She will support student learning outcomes in the Physician Assistant program at York.

 

Janea Bussey has had previous nursing roles at Jamaica Hospital, Queens Hospital, Coney Island Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital and has supported public schools in NYC and Fulton County, GA. She will support student health administration at York.

 

Alicia Wilson has had various teaching roles in the Social Work department and has obtained the role of Assistant Professor. She will continue to support student learning outcomes in this new role.

 

Lorraine Sanassi is transitioning from Clinical Professor to Assistant Professor in the Health Professions department. She will continue to support student learning outcomes in this new role.

 

Timothy Paglione has been named the Interim Associate Provost and will support strategic academic initiatives and student success goals.
