Beginning Wednesday, September 10, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required to access the York VPN Portal at sslvpn.york.cuny.edu, which provides remote access to applications such as HR-Assist, PR-Assist, AEMS and others. This added security measure helps protect your access to York systems.
- If you already use MFA for CUNYfirst or GlobalProtect VPN, no further action is needed.
- If you are setting up MFA for the first time, please complete the following steps:

- Download the Microsoft Authenticator App
Install it on your mobile device if you haven't already. - Set Up MFA
Follow the guide to configure your MFA profile for GlobalProtect VPN access. - Do Not Delete Your MFA Profile
Once configured, keep your profile active—deleting it may prevent you from logging in.
