In 2006, the world was starting to feel more connected, both digitally and politically. For the first time since 1994, U.S. Democrats regained control of both the House and Senate. Google acquired YouTube. Twitter was launched. And the International Astronomical Union reclassified Pluto as a dwarf planet. Australian wildlife expert Steve Irwin died after stingray attack on September 4 and Sony PlayStation 3 was released on November 11. This same year, York College welcomed the below employees to support its mission and goals.
