Please find attached the Enrollment & Retention Management Update for June 2026. In addition to reporting enrollment targets, we are also providing a list of important dates and recruitment activities. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need more information.
Enrollment:
This chart below reflects our Fall 2026 numbers as of May 31, 2026.
In addition, I've attached the CUNY Dashboard Report, also dated 5-31-26.
This report compares our enrollment with the other CUNY colleges.
Enrollment Target:
Our Enrollment Target is 6,750 students; we are currently at 2,590 students.
Date to Date Comparison:
May 31, 2026: 2,590
May 31, 2025: 2,310
We are 12.1% higher in our enrollment than we were on the same date last year.
We are 12.6% higher in our FTE's than we were on the same date last year.
Special Programs:
Although not tracked as their own entiity on the chart above, I did want to include our special programs. Unfortunately, the CUNY Dashboard does not have comparison data by category, but we are able to compare TOTAL enrollment.

Enrollment and Retention:
V-READY Starting June 1st, VREADY will move to Mondays 9:30-4pm and Wednesdays 9:30-2pm to accommodate Summer Fridays.
Readmission Fee - the fee is being waived for Summer & Fall 2026. The deadline to apply for Fall readmission is Monday, August 17th.
Dept Listening Sessions - EM along with Advisement and Registrar (as requested) has met with several departments. I encourage other departments to request a listening session so we can meet and discuss how EM can be helpful in removing barriers for our students.
College Now Parent Breakfast - June 6th 9:30-11am.
First-Time Full-Time Freshmen (FTFTF) – York’s most recent first-time, full-time degree-seeking first-year students one-year retention rate (68%), up 11 percentage points (pp) over the 2023 cohort, and at its highest point in eight years. A full report can be found here.
Financial Aid Filing Sessions:
Overview: Financial Aid staff will be available to assist students with filing the Financial Aid application and answer any questions.
When: Every Tuesday and Thursday 12-2pm
Where: In the area directly across from the Welcome Center.
Scholarships Information Sessions:
Scholarship 101

search tools effectively and discover how to make the most of the resources available to support your application journey.

Admissions staff work on contacting students to help them move through the funnel.
