Dear York College Community,

As we enter the third year of York College's Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Self-Study process, we would like to share several important updates. Over Summer 2026, a full draft of the Self-Study Report was developed, building upon the extensive evidence collection, analysis, and discussion conducted by the MSCHE Self-Study Working Groups during the 2025-2026 academic year.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to this effort thus far, particularly the members of the Steering Committee and Working Groups. Your dedication has been instrumental in advancing this important institutional endeavor.

Community Feedback on the Self-Study Draft

The Steering Committee is now seeking feedback from the campus community in advance of the Team Chair's visit. The Self-Study Draft is available for review, and we encourage all faculty, staff, students, and administrators to participate in this important phase of the process.

Please visit the Self-Study webpage to review the draft and submit your feedback. Comments on this version of the report will be accepted through October 2, 2026.

Team Chair Visit

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jeffery Osgood, President of the Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania, has been appointed as York College's MSCHE Evaluation Team Chair. Dr. Osgood is an experienced Middle States evaluator, and we look forward to welcoming him to campus on October 6, 2026.

The Team Chair's visit is an important milestone in preparation for the comprehensive evaluation team visit, which is scheduled for April 4-7, 2027. Additional information regarding the evaluation team's visit will be shared with the campus community during Spring 2027.

Fall 2026 MSCHE Town Halls

To support campus engagement and preparation for these important visits, the Middle States Self-Study Leadership Group will host three virtual Town Hall meetings via Zoom during Fall 2026:

As we move closer to the accreditation review, there will be additional opportunities for campus engagement. We encourage you to remain involved in the process.
