Dear York Colleagues:
The upcoming primary election is Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Here is the link for the CUNY Time to Vote Notice to Employees
Voting FAQs can be found at https://www.vote.nyc/page/faqs.
- Employees are eligible for voting leave only if they do not have four (4) consecutive hours either between the opening of the polls and the beginning of their working shift, or between the end of their working shift and the closing of the polls; and
- Employees who do not have a four (4) hour window are eligible to take off only as much working time as will enable, when added to their voting time outside working hours, the employee to vote, up to three (3) hours of which time must be without loss of pay.
This is also a reminder that early voting takes place between Saturday, June 15, 2024, to Sunday, June 23, 2024. Time off is not available for early voting.
If an employee plans to take time off to vote per the guidelines above, the employee should indicate the hours on the corresponding timesheet.
Voters may request an absentee ballot by clicking on this link Ways to Vote | NYC Votes.
