Good day York Community, In order to meet the mission, goals and initiatives of York College in the coming academic year, and to provide for the needs of York College's students, while continuing to extend flexibility in scheduling for its staff, the College will be returning to and requiring staff members to work a minimum of 80% of their work week in person for the fall and spring semester. This means eight in-person days and two remote days every two weeks for full-time staff. This will go into effect on Monday, August 12. It is the goal of York College to ensure that our offices are open and available to students and staff, on an in-person basis, during the full five-day work week. To that end, offices shall coordinate remote work schedules among its staff to ensure that the office is open and available to the college community Monday through Friday, on an in-person basis. Remote work arrangements should be memorialized in a remote work form; we have extended the use of the current form through June 30, 2025 based upon agreement with the PSC and DC 37. You can access the form here: Remote Work Agreement. Please note, individual offices may continue to require a greater in-person presence by their staff if appropriate to the operational needs of that office and the College. Campus Safety staff and other essential employees will continue to work fully in-person, and we are grateful for their continued presence across our campuses and offices. Employees who have concerns about in-person work due to medical considerations, can apply for a reasonable accommodation. For more information, visit here: Current Process for Requesting a Reasonable Accommodation. Looking forward to a successful academic year. Thank you York College Human Resources |
