Dear Faculty,
We’re thrilled to introduce a new initiative designed to spark creativity, collaboration, and career readiness across our campus: Curriculum to Career: Connecting Curriculum with Career Competencies. This pilot program offers a unique opportunity to create meaningful, co-curricular experiences for our students—linking what they’re learning in the classroom with real-world career competencies that will help them succeed beyond York.
Through this initiative, we’re providing $1,200 in funding per project from a total pilot budget of $25,000 to support innovative ideas that align with NACE Career Readiness Competencies (like Critical Thinking, Communication, Leadership, and more).
Why should you get involved?
· Enhance student success by linking coursework to hands-on career experiences.
· Fuel collaboration across departments and campus partnerships.
· Support exploration of majors and career outcomes in innovative ways.
· Receive funding to cover speaker honorariums, field trips, materials, and more.
The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, December 6, 2024 – 11:59pm.
Best regards,
James Salnave
