As a new year approaches, we also mark the end of an era at York College. With immense gratitude and heartfelt celebration, we announce the retirement of our beloved Registrar, Sharon Davidson.
For over 40 years, Sharon has been a cornerstone of the York College community. Her journey began as a student and member of the Women’s Basketball team, followed by her early days as a College Assistant in the Registrar’s Office. Through hard work, dedication, and visionary leadership, Sharon rose to the role of Registrar, leaving an indelible mark on the institution.
Throughout her tenure, Sharon has exemplified an unwavering commitment to York College. She has been an active and invaluable member of numerous standing committees, including the College Senate Committee, Curriculum Committee, and various assessment committees. Her contributions to enrollment initiatives have played a pivotal role in helping the college fulfill its mission and goals.
Sharon’s deep knowledge, keen insights, and unique perspective on countless facets of York College have been unmatched. Her presence, with its unique perspective, will be profoundly missed by colleagues and friends alike.
