Dear Members of the College Community,
As many of you are aware, York College's Mission and Vision statements, and the college's values have been in place in their current forms since 2018. The Mission, Vision and Values are designed to articulate and reflect York's current goals, purpose, overarching direction, culture and our future aspirations. At this time, York is beginning the process for reaffirmation of accreditation and is preparing to enter a new period of Strategic Planning. In this context, it is time for the college community to consider whether our Mission, Vision and Values still express the ethos of York effectively and accurately.
As part of the process of reviewing and potentially revising our Mission, Revision and Values, Interim President Schrader, the Cabinet, and the Middle States Self-Study Leadership Group, are seeking your participation in the review process. We would appreciate your response to the survey which can be found here:

For some context about the purpose of the Mission, Vision and Values:
York College's mission statement is a broadly defined articulation of the college's purpose and its core goals: it is an expression of the desires and intent of the institution, of why we exist, and who we serve. It encompasses everything we do. York College's mission statement is accompanied by a vision statement, which articulates the college's philosophy, and sets out its aims and aspirations for the future. Finally, York College has also articulated a set of institutional values, which express the culture of the college, and shape its character and identity. Everything that we do should center on the college mission, including our Strategic Goals, and our policies, practices and procedures.
Thank you for your participation in this important process.
