Dear Colleagues,
We hope your semester is going well!
We have some important updates for you this month:
- Attached is a research brief on Assessing Academic Momentum for first-year students – it provides important insights into how our students are performing in their first year at York. Please review and discuss the findings with your departments/units.
- Attached is an Assessment Spotlight highlighting the assessment activities in a relatively new program, Human Resource Management BS. We share these spotlights so you can see how other departments are using assessment data to enhance their programs.
- We’re launching a new series – Let’s Talk Data! On March 4 we will be discussing Retention and Graduation Rates. Please see the invitation/registration link below.
- The Mission Vision Value review process is underway – please be sure to complete the survey that went out last week (a reminder went out this week). If you prefer a digital initiative, check out the Cardinal App, which asks for your feedback via #hashtags! We thank the Office of Marketing and Communications and the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management for assisting with this new initiative.
- The MSCHE Self-Study Process has started! Roughly 85 faculty and staff volunteered to participate. We thank them for their willingness to engage in this important initiative. Visit the Self-Study webpage to find out who is participating on each working group.
If you have questions, suggestions, or would like to invite us to a department meeting, please contact us.
