We appreciate your continued patience and cooperation as we work to maintain and improve the safety and functionality of our campus parking lot. After a thorough evaluation conducted by Facilities, Public Safety, and the Office of the Vice President for Finance & Administrative Affairs, we have identified several new potholes and cracks that require immediate attention.
Our Immediate Plan for Repairs
To ensure everyone's safety and prevent vehicle damage:
- Public Safety will continue patrolling the lot to identify potholes and other hazards.
- Hazardous areas will be marked and blocked off with caution cones.
- Facilities will prioritize filling the potholes as part of our short-term repair plan.
While addressing these immediate repairs, we recognize that a full repaving of the parking lot is sorely needed. We are actively working on a comprehensive plan for resurfacing the lot to improve safety and overall usability. Additionally, Public Safety has proposed relocating the Security Booth further inside the lot to:

Many reported concerns are already being worked on, but an all-hands-on-deck approach will help keep our campus safe and accessible for everyone.
