Faculty Commencement Communication Commencement is a significant event in the lives of our students, their families, and guests. The Ceremony celebrates the culmination of our commitment to our students and their investment in their academic, personal, and professional achievements. The Ceremony will be on May 28, 2025, at the UBS Arena. We continue to finalize our plans for what we expect to be a very positive and enjoyable event for all our students, faculty, staff, as well as York friends and family. Please register to confirm your attendance! This is required to reserve your seat on stage and obtain a parking pass. If you need to rent or buy your Regalia, please visit Josten’s page for York. Information regarding arrival, parking and schedule: · Faculty are suggested to arrive at the UBS Arena no later than 8:30 a.m. - Don’t forget your regalia!
- You do not need a ticket, but bring your York College ID card.
- Upon arrival, follow signs to “Dime Entrance” for faculty robing/line up and breakfast in the “Verizon Lounge.”
- Bags that measure no larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″ are permitted and will be subject to x-ray or visual screening.
- Sensible shoes are encouraged for walking and standing.
- Parking will be at the “Diamond” lot and provided to faculty who have registered. Accommodations cannot be made on the day of commencement.
- There are options for Ride Share drop off and public transportation including LIRR.
- Commencement will begin at 10:30 a.m. The students will already be seated. The procession will begin at this time. This will take about 20 minutes. The faculty lineup will begin around 10:15 a.m. The faculty procession will follow the Dias Party.
We suggest you arrive early and give yourself sufficient time to navigate parking, entry into the building, breakfast, robing, and line up. Maribel Donado from Academic Affairs, with a team of volunteers, will lead you into the arena with banner carriers. We are grateful to each of you for ensuring the best possible graduation possible.
