Faculty and Staff YEmmy Awards Dear Campus Community, The YEmmy Awards, a new initiative, is designed to recognize the invaluable contributions of our faculty and staff annually. The name 'YEmmy' combines 'York' and 'eminent', symbolizing the outstanding commitment of our faculty and staff to student success and learning. It also plays on the word 'Emmys.' These individuals show excellence in teaching, service, mentoring, assessment, and supporting student success, and we aim to honor their efforts through these awards. Below is a brief outline of the categories and their criteria. Categories (to be completed by faculty/staff) YEmmy Award for Staff Supporting Student Success (50 words) - Describe the nominees' contributions to the college in improving
- Student success
- Provide examples of how the nominees have exceeded their position in supporting student success
- Outline the nominees' commitment to their professional growth and development in student success/retention
YEmmy Award in Assessment (no more than 1 page summary) - This award celebrates innovative assessment initiatives or projects that utilize systematic data collection, review, and analysis to enhance a program, service or project
- Exemplary practices in curriculum and assessment concentrate on student learning achievements and innovations in curriculum design and assessment
