The College Community,
The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York - DASNY, has financed a much-needed 20 million-dollar - campus-wide ADA restroom rehabilitation project.
The first phase of the project began in the the HPEC building bathrooms, this phase is 90% complete.
Phase II of the project will focus on the ACORE building and will not only encompass ADA compliance, but also the renovation and modernization of all 49 bathrooms in the Academic Core Building. This phase is projected to be completed within 16 months.
The Upgrades and Renovations will extend existing restrooms to meet ADA regulations and will require the temporary relocation of nearby offices.
We will be contacting the Division Vice Presidents and impacted offices that will be required to be moved to a different location.
In order to facilitate a seamless transition, moving boxes will be provided for packing and move dates will be coordinated with the Buildings & Grounds team.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to upgrading our campus facilities.
We understand that Capital upgrades can be disruptive but the end result will be much need facility upgrades to campus wide bathrooms that are in very poor conditions.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
Thank you,
