York's Aviation Management Student Imane Da Silva Receives $2,500 JFKIAT 4Good Scholarship Dear York College Community, York College, City University of New York (CUNY), proudly announces that Imane Da Silva, an Aviation Management major in the Department of Business and Economics, has been awarded the $2,500 4Good Scholarship from JFKIAT. The scholarship was presented on October 24, 2025, to four students representing local partner institutions: Vaughn College, SUNY Farmingdale, CUNY John Jay, and York College’s own honoree, Imane Da Silva. JFKIAT, the operator of Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport, established the 4Good Scholarship to support and empower students pursuing careers in aviation and related fields. The program aims to encourage the next generation of aviation professionals who demonstrate strong potential, leadership, and a passion for making a positive impact. “Imane’s unwavering dedication to his studies and his genuine passion for the aviation industry truly embody the spirit and purpose of this prestigious scholarship,” said Dr. Fenio Annansingh-Jamieson, Dean of Business and Economics at York College. “His remarkable achievement is a testament to his hard work, leadership, and commitment to excellence—qualities that inspire pride across our entire York College community and reflect the bright future of the aviation profession.” Imane expressed his gratitude for the recognition, noting that the award will help him continue pursuing his academic and professional goals in aviation management. During the event, he engaged professionally with JFKIAT leaders, including Roel Huinink, CEO of JFKIAT, who shared insights about his own career journey—its successes and challenges alike.
