Please note Correct Public Safety Number is 718-262-2222
Dear Campus Community,
We are all deeply saddened by the recent senseless acts of antisemitic hate and the tragic mass shootings that claimed innocent lives in Australia and among students at Brown University.
Please know that our Public Safety team remains vigilant in safeguarding every member of our college community. I have been briefed that patrols have been increased, access and entry points are being closely monitored, and all operations are under heightened vigilance. Any suspicious activity on campus will be addressed immediately.
I ask that you remain equally alert. If you observe anything concerning, please contact Public Safety at 718-262-2222 without hesitation.
As fate would have it, today’s Leadership Council agenda includes a Tabletop Training. In the coming semester, Public Safety will also conduct individual Office Safety Training sessions for each department. We continue to maintain a strong and productive partnership with the 103rd Precinct.
For those who may need support, campus counseling services are available for students, and faculty and staff can access the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at any time.
As we approach final exams and the holiday season—a time that can be stressful for many—let us remain compassionate in our interactions, seek help when needed, and reaffirm our shared commitment to being a campus of care.
Thank you for your vigilance and dedication to the safety and well-being of our community.
