
November 2025 – Grace-Ann Prescod
On behalf of the Employee of the Month Committee, it is my pleasure to announce that Grace-Ann Prescod has been selected as the November 2025 Employee of the Month! Grace has been working at York College for 17 years. She is currently serving as the Student Life International Student Manager. Highlights from her nomination from Nicholas Jones include:
Ms. Prescod consistently performs at an exceptional level, demonstrating initiative and accountability in every aspect of her work. She ensures that the Admissions Office operates efficiently and effectively, even under challenging circumstances. Her ability to manage multiple priorities, from international student compliance to large-scale recruitment events, reflects her commitment to York College’s enrollment goals and student success.
Grace exemplifies outstanding customer service, particularly in her compassionate work with international students. During times of uncertainty regarding national policy changes, she provided reassurance, accurate information, and timely support to help students remain in status. Grace created a WhatsApp chat with all international students who directly had her personal cell phone #. Her calm and knowledgeable approach helps students and families feel valued and confident in their decision to choose York College and most importantly, stay a York student.
Grace is the embodiment of a team player. She consistently supports her colleagues, stepping in where needed, sharing knowledge generously, and creating a positive and inclusive work environment. Her collaborative approach during the Slate CRM project was essential to the team’s success, ensuring that each member’s input was valued and integrated. Grace played a big part to ensure our Graduate Admissions application was up and running based on the project deadline.
In the absence of a Director for the last 12 months, Grace displayed extraordinary leadership by maintaining office stability and morale. She led by example, remaining composed, dependable, and solutions-oriented. Her ability to motivate others, communicate clearly, and make thoughtful decisions earned her the respect and trust of both peers and supervisors.
Grace approaches her work with creativity and forward-thinking solutions. During the Slate CRM implementation, she contributed innovative ideas to streamline communications and improve applicant engagement. Her strategic mindset continues to shape more efficient processes and enhance the overall applicant experience at York College.
