Dear York College Community,
As part of a University-wide initiative to expand LinkedIn Learning access to all CUNY campuses, York College will be updating how users sign in to LinkedIn Learning.
To support a consistent deployment across the University and avoid any interruption in service, York College will transition LinkedIn Learning authentication from Network ID/ York Account access to CUNY Login Single Sign-On (SSO).
What is changing
- User accounts are being securely converted to use CUNY Login as the primary authentication method.
- Employee ID (EMPLID) and CUNY Login ID will be used for account matching and access.
What is not changing
- Your LinkedIn Learning account, learning history, certificates, and saved content will remain intact.
- There is no action required from users at this time, provided you have an active CUNY Login.
What you need to do going forward
Beginning February 19, all users should access LinkedIn Learning using their CUNY Login credentials. Network ID/ York Account will no longer be used to sign in.
Why this change is necessary
This update aligns York College with the University’s standard authentication approach, ensures uninterrupted access as LinkedIn Learning expands systemwide, and strengthens security through centralized SSO.
