Dear Faculty, Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) is pleased to invite you to our Spring ‘26 session of WAC Talk! Our aim with this session is to reflect on how AI fits into writing in our classrooms. How do we communicate to students that disciplinary writing is still relevant and important in the face of AI? Please bring writing prompts that you use in your classes that are designed to encourage or discourage the use of AI, as this will be an interactive session! Even if you do not teach Writing Intensive courses, do join us to gain valuable insight from our guest speakers ( Dr. Valerie Kubanick, Nursing and Dr. Emily Verla Bovino, Performing and Fine Arts) about how AI has impacted writing within their respective disciplines and how they are addressing it in their classrooms.
When: March 19th, 12-1:30pm Where: Rm. AC-1E03 Refreshments will be served.
If you have questions, do not hesitate to reach out to the WAC Coordinators: Shoba Parasram ( sparasram@PROTECTED) and Andrew Heerah ( aheerah901@PROTECTED). Or visit us on the web at york.cuny.edu/wac
