Dear Faculty,
I am writing to inform you of an important change to the timesheet submission process for full time faculty. This updated procedure is intended to streamline administrative workflows and reduce unnecessary paperwork while ensuring accurate reporting of leave.
What Is Changing
Effective 6/1/26 full time faculty will no longer be required to submit biweekly timesheets. Instead:
• Department administrators will submit the regular biweekly timesheets for faculty when no leave is taken. • A timesheet will be required only when a faculty member takes leave (sick leave, annual leave, or any other applicable category). • If no leave is taken during a pay period, no timesheet is required. The default assumption will be that no leave was used.
When Leave Is Taken
If you use leave during a pay period:
• You must submit a timesheet reflecting the leave taken. • This timesheet is due on the Friday before the regular Monday timesheet due date.
This earlier submission timeline ensures that all reported leave can be processed accurately and incorporated into payroll without delay.
Next Steps
Please continue adhering to your department’s regular communication process for any planned or unplanned absences.
We appreciate your cooperation as we transition to this simplified system.
Thank you for your attention and for your continued dedication to our students and our mission.
Best, Derrick Brazill, PhD Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs
