Colleagues!
Don’t miss this unique ACUE–TMCF CHANGE development opportunity made possible through York’s partnership with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF). Through this opportunity York faculty and staff will have access until June 2027 to ACUE’s nationally recognized teaching and learning courses and Quick Studies, a community of practice, and resources designed to strengthen teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.
Why Should I Participate?
More than 96% of York instructors recommend the ACUE courses they participated in and found them effective and relevant to their teaching and their students’ learning. To this date 82 York Faculty have earned ACUE Certification, the only nationally recognized Certification in Effective College Teaching. ACUE's courses are grounded in evidence-based teaching practices that have been shown to improve student engagement, learning, persistence, and completion.
Which Courses Should I take?
Consider your professional goals, your own schedule from now to June 2027, and the offerings’ availability, commitment, and start and end dates.
If your goal is to earn the nationally recognized ACUE Certification, you will need to take 4 Certification “Pathway" Courses.
If you have previously completed one or more pathway courses, select the next pathway course that moves you closer to certification.
If you are interested in a focused topic and a shorter commitment that can earn you an ACUE credential or micro credential, consider a Quick Study. Note the completion dates.
The courses and learning opportunities available through CHANGE evolve over time. Current offerings, descriptions, schedules, and registration information can be found on the York College ACUE portal.
Who Will Be Notified of My Accomplishments?
CTLET will monitor participation and share completion data with the provosts, the deans and chairs for all to support and celebrate York faculty achievements.
Take advantage of this opportunity and invest in your teaching, your students' success, and your own professional growth. We look forward to celebrating your accomplishments!
