Dear Faculty and Staff of York College, the University has now launched its training modules for the 2026-2027 academic year. First, we would like to take a moment to thank you, again, for your efforts to complete all required CUNY training programs in the 2025-2026 academic year. Based on your efforts, York College saw improvement in all areas of training: | 2024-2025 | 2025-2026 | Workplace Violence | 78% | 86% | ESPARC | 78% | 87% | Gender-Based Violence | 91% | 96% | Title VI | N/A | 95% |
Your efforts last year demonstrate the commitment of the York College community to ensuring that this college is a safe and welcoming environment for all. All employees of York College are required to complete several training modules annually. The following is an overview of the trainings required by you as an employee of York College and the State of New York. Full-time employees must complete ESPARC, WPV, Title VI and GBVT (if applicable) by May 28, 2027; part-time employees should complete their training in the current semester. New employees should plan to complete all required training within the first two weeks of employment (or, within two weeks of the training module becoming available on Brightspace). Please consult with your supervisor to schedule a time when the training will be conducted. The Employee Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Course (ESPARC), the Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP) course, and the Gender-Based Violence Training (GBVT) course are now available for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Title VI training module will be launched later this semester. Please remember to click "Continue" on every page of the training to ensure your certificate generates following completion of the training. If you have completed the training through your employment at another CUNY school, please forward us your certificate of compliance so we may give you credit for your completion manually. For any additional questions regarding training, please reach out to: Thank you.
