The Campus Community,
The College is undergoing modernization to its buildings and infrastructure. In the upcoming years over $170 Million dollars, addressing 22 capital projects, is projected to be spent by CUNY on our campus, a significant investment in the future of York. The campus has never experienced this level of capital improvement since its inception.
Key highlights from projects underway and in the pipeline are as follows:
Updating the existing Performing Arts Center (PAC) into a state-of-the-art performance venue.
Modernization to restroom facilities that also address ADA compliance issues
Improvements to campus entry and pedestrian walkway at Archer Avenue and 159th Street
Updated perimeter fencing with automated gates
Ongoing infrastructure improvements that provide new windows, roof, and updates to heating and cooling systems at Classroom and Science Buildings.
